Casa Real Museum - Santo Domingo

This was the mansion house of the Governor of the colony. The exhibits range from the 16th century until the proclamation of the independence from Spain in 1821. You can also visit the exhibits of a valuable collection of ancient objects rescued from some of the shipwrecks just offshore.
